Christina Shockley, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, with a back ground in family medicine, that has authority to prescribe medications for individuals with mental health conditions. Her expertise in psychopharmacology allows her to focus on your mental health needs while also using a holistic approach to your health care.
Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) evaluations are available for ages 6 and older. This includes a thorough psychiatric evaluation, obtaining collateral information by close friends, relatives, teachers, and co-workers, and using a combination of screening tools and objective computerized testing such as the T.O.V.A. Referral required.
The Test of Variables of Attention (T.O.V.A.®) is an FDA-cleared, computerized, and objective measure of attention and inhibitory control that can be valuable in aiding your provider make an accurate diagnosis and monitor response to treatment.
Established clients receiving medication management services from our psychiatric nurse practitioner now have the opportunity to complete pharmacogenomic testing through GeneSight. GeneSight is a pharmacogenomic test that analyzes genetic variations that may affect your outcomes with certain psychotropic medications. We are credentialed with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Sanford Health, and Medicaid.
Services can also be reimbursed by your insurance if you have out-of-network benefits. Upon request, invoices can be provided where you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement on your behalf. Please contact your insurance company for any questions regarding your out-of-network benefits. We accept cash, HSA (Health Savings Account) and all major credit cards as forms of payment.
Provider availability varies by service type and provider. Currently, a waiting list is offered for therapy services and medication management appointments can typically be scheduled within 2-3 weeks.
To request a refill on your medication, please notify your pharmacy. They will alert your medication provider via electronic or fax request. Generally a refill request should occur at least 3-4 business days in advance.
We accept cash, check and card. There is an additional processing fee for card payments. Feel free to stop by our office or call with payment. If you have a co-pay or are without insurance, payment will be due before your appointment.
